The latest draft of the greek life party registration policy — which includes key changes to what defines a greek party — is expected to pass Tuesday, according to Panhellenic President and business administration junior Danielle Durante.
The latest version of the policy, which was obtained by Mustang News, requires that parties of more than 100 people be registered at least 10 days in advance, and that parties of less than 100 be registered at least five days in advance. A previous version of the policy had increased that threshold to 200 people.
Final Party Registration Policy Draft
Cal Poly’s legal counsel and administrators have approved the draft policy, but it will not be finalized until the National Panhellenic Council (NPC) approves it, Durante said.
“Should NPC approve the updated policy with revisions, the women will be excited to pass this proposal tomorrow and work to successfully implement it in the coming weeks,” Durante said Monday.

The policy also extends the deadlines for the interim policy review from mid-March until spring quarter. If passed, the current draft policy will be reviewed starting in May, and any provisions must be made by the final day of spring quarter.
A final agreement on the policy must be reached by the beginning of Fall Quarter 2014.
Tuesday will mark the 31st day fraternities and sororities have been on social probation.
