To become a puppy raiser, a student must attend three consecutive meetings, puppy-sit for five nights and undergo a house evaluation to ensure their living space is suitable for a puppy.
The College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) was awarded a food safety outreach grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture to keep local farmers up to date on food safety.
“I thought we were just going to go through house tours and talk to some of the girls, and that it would be very chill, but it definitely feels more like a job interview, ” Margetta said.
