A parked car caught fire in the H2A lot near Kennedy Library at 8:05 a.m. this morning. No injuries or damages to surrounding cars were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, according to Cal Poly Spokesperson Keegan Koberl.
The fire caused two morning classes happening near Dexter Lawn to be moved outside due to smoke wafting into the classrooms, though no further action had to be taken and the classrooms are now operational, according to Kate Murphy, interim dean for the College of Liberal Arts.
The H2A lot is reserved for staff and short term parking. The vehicle was parked in a staff parking spot.

San Luis Obispo firefighters and Cal Poly Police Department officers contained the fire. The vehicle was towed out of the lot around 9:30 a.m. and affected parking spots have been blocked off.
Update: This article was updated at 2:3 p.m. to add details about the classes moved due to the fire.
