Quiet hums, flashes of digital cameras and quick footwork made backstage as alive as onstage. Dancers arrived at the Performing Arts Center early the morning of the show to get ready in the green rooms. Mirrors lined the walls as performers touched up their braids, hit a last few stretches and shared excited giggles. They were almost ready to light up the stage.
