“I don’t know very much about the strike aside from the context of the conversations around faculty pay, administrative hiring, the perception of too much administrative hiring instead of increases to current faculty salary. From my understanding, that is perhaps the core, or one of the core issues, causing this potential strike that may occur. I heard today from some students who seem to know maybe a bit more than I did, that it could affect the entire CSU system; perhaps faculty here would be on strike for one to three days and then it would continue at another CSU campus for another one to three days. As a staff member on campus, I think we are committing to figuring out how to serve students or support students through the process of a strike. If it was to happen, what can we contribute in those times in terms of programming or other support or I guess whatever students may need or whatever faculty or administration may need. Besides that, that’s kind of been our conversation.”
