Cal Poly Men’s Soccer released their schedule for the upcoming 2025 season earlier this month, and fans can mark their calendars for early October when the Mustangs will hostUC Santa Barbara for the Blue-Green Rivalry game with Big West stakes on the line.

The reigning Big West regular season champions once again start their campaign on the road, with a matchup against the San Jose State Spartans on Aug. 21. It is the first of a four game road trip that includes a future Big West matchup against Cal Baptist.

The Mustangs return for their home opener on Sept. 11, with a return match against a San Francisco Dons squad that they drew against last season.

Cal Poly finishes the eight day long homestand with Saint Mary’s then Utah Tech.

A matchup against WAC regular season champion San Diego State, before the first leg of the Blue-Green Rivalry at Harder Stadium in Santa Barbara on Sept. 27.

The first of the two matchups does not count for Big West standings, last season Cal Poly beat UC Santa Barbara for the first time since 2018 with a 2-0 victory at home.

Big West play opens on Oct. 1 with UC Davis returning to San Luis Obispo after knocking out the Mustangs in the Big West Tournament last November. Cal Poly hosts the Gauchos for the return leg of the Blue-Green Rivalry on Oct. 18 at 4 p.m.

Senior day for the Mustangs is Oct. 26 against CSU Northridge, before playing the conference finale against CSU Bakersfield on the road Nov. 1.

The top six seeds advance to the Big West Tournament, starting Nov. 5 with the finals being played on Nov. 14.

The Mustangs are set up nicely for the upcoming season, returning all five of their All-Big West honor recipients and all of their multi-goal scorers from last season.

After capturing their first regular season championship in program history, Cal Poly looks to make it back-to-back championships in the Big West for the first time since UC Irvine in 2010-2011.
