The North County Adaptive Sports Program provides adapted physical activities for individuals living with developmental disabilities. The program serves participants or athletes from 14 to 70 years old throughout the Central Coast, and they engage in a variety of recreational activities such as basketball, volleyball and aquatics.

After receiving approval from the CSU Chancellor’s Office, Cal Poly announced its plans for Fall quarter on Aug. 12 in a campus-wide email. The university planned to hold about 13 percent of the quarter’s 4,300 sections in-person, and professors have modified their courses to uphold safety guidelines while preserving hands-on learning.

Arrest of local activist Tianna Arata gains national attention as she awaits charges
Local Black Lives Matter activist 20-year-old Tianna Arata was arrested on five felony counts and three misdemeanors after participating in a protest on July 21. Arata has not yet been officially charged with any crimes and awaits a decision from the District Attorney.
