The first article I read in Thursday’s paper told the tragic story of Carson Starkey’s death, attributed to alcohol poisoning. I believe it is very important that stories such as Carson’s be well distributed so that others may avoid his fate. For that I was glad to see this article featured on the front page.

Many of us are (or should be) looking for careers as graduation nears, others are looking for internships and still others just need a part-time job to earn some extra beer money. While you can rely on your rugged good looks to make it through the job interview, you still need something before you can get to the interview phase.

I remember Ricky Henderson getting on base all the time and I would say, “Ricky gets on.” So it wasn’t much of a surprise when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
