NLCS, ALCS upon us

The division series are over and it didn’t take long to lose the chance of an all-Los Angeles or all-Chicago World Series. None of the series went to five games and all the competitive games were found in one match-up. Hopefully, closer games are on the horizon.

Points aplenty in AFC West

In the third week of the NFL season we saw the Patriots lose for the first time in the regular season since 2006, Ronnie Brown tally five TDs (four rushing, one passing) and the Bills and Titans stay undefeated. Mustangs take on Utah State

Two weekend tune-ups remain for the Cal Poly women’s soccer team before Big West Conference play begins Oct. 3 at Cal State Fullerton. The first of those comes at 7 tonight when the Mustangs (4-5) host Utah State.

The Aggies (4-5-1), who left the Big West in 2005, were picked to finish third in the Western Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll.
