During his time at Simi Valley, Simpson was named Marmonte League Co-Defensive Lineman of the Year and First Team All-League.

Wide receiver Oreste “JJ” Yong was a dual athlete at Roseville High School, surpassing 1,000 varsity points in basketball and being selected for a Sacramento All-Section Team honoree in football last season.

Owen Neill signed as an offensive lineman, bringing his experience from Mater Dei High School.

“Thank you to my mom, dad, coaches, family, and everyone who helped me along the way,” Neill said in an Instagram post. “Trusted the process from day one, now it’s time to work!”

Defensive end, Somto Nwude from Crespi High School, was his league’s Defensive MVP last season.

Kicker Noah Thayer from JSerra High School had the top two longest field goals in California in 2025.

Spring practices for the new Mustangs athletes run from April 1 to May 2, about five months before their first game on Sept. 26.
