The Cal Poly student arrested for a felony hit-and-run that injured two women will appear in court for the first time on Wednesday, according to the SLO Chief Deputy District Attorney Jerret Gran.

Ishan Pandhare, a junior electrical engineering student, faces three felony counts: reckless driving causing specified injury, driving under the influence causing injury and leaving the scene of the accident, according to the complaint filed by the district attorney’s office.

He also faces counts of a hit and run misdemeanor causing damage to surrounding property and an unsafe speeding violation.

Pandhare is scheduled to hear his charges at his arraignment on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 8:30 a.m., replacing a previously listed court date last week.
