Two local restaurants are hosting fundraisers tonight and tomorrow to support LA wildfire relief, with 100% of proceeds donated to restaurant workers affected.
Novo Restaurant & Lounge will host its fundraiser tonight from 5 to 9 p.m., while Luna Red Restaurant & Bar will host its fundraiser during the same hours tomorrow. All proceeds will go to Restaurants Care, a fund providing emergency grants to restaurant workers affected by the LA wildfires.
These fundraisers follow a similar sold-out event held at Robin’s Restaurant on Sunday, which raised $8,000. These events were organized by Blue Mango Management, which owns Luna Red, Novo, and Robin’s, according to Isabella Curtoni, director of marketing for Blue Mango Management.
“Although LA is hours away, in the restaurant industry, we’re family,” Curtoni said. “Seeing people go through what they have been going through has been just heartbreaking. We wanted to help in anyway we can.”
