Cal Poly students favor Proposition 50 in survey results
Some 70% of students surveyed by Mustang News said they planned to vote yes on Proposition 50, in support of temporarily redrawing California’s congressional maps. This compares to the 56.22%% who voted yes in San Luis Obispo County and 63.9% overall as of Nov. 7.

Early voting shows Proposition 50 leading by 11K votes in San Luis Obispo County
Most students said they felt “responsible” to express their right to vote and said they felt more heard in this election compared to last year’s national election. Physics sophomore Nicholas Taylor said this election is the only time his vote matters as a California resident.

‘No Kings’ protest in San Luis Obispo sees thousands protest Trump, discuss Proposition 50
The demonstration was scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., and by 10:30 a.m., the downtown streets of Osos and Monterey were already packed with demonstrators. In addition to raising American flags, many participants held posters demanding the release of the Epstein files, voting in favor of Proposition 50, stopping Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), preserving healthcare and opposing fascism.
