Chris Lake, The Backseat Lovers, Magdalena Bay and a special guest act will headline Shabang Music and Arts Festival this year.

The 12th annual festival will take place at San Luis Obispo’s Dairy Creek Golf Course on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3, diverging from the previous Friday and Saturday format.

The Funk Safari and Laguna Lake stages will return with production enhancements alongside a brand new stage that will debut in place of the Silent Disco. The lineup for the new stage will be released at a later time.

Among indie, alternative and electronic performances, from artists such as Fcukers, INJI, Chezile and TOPS, local bands Avalynn, Brass Mash and Sol Arc have a spot in the 2026 lineup.

Shabang will no longer offer on-site camping in order to focus on plans of growing programming and reducing ticket prices. The festival’s interactive art installations, wellness workshops and vendors will return.

Tickets will go on sale at 11 a.m. on Feb. 24.
