The Cal Poly Women’s Tennis program matched a significant milestone as six Mustangs earned All-Big West honors following another standout season.

The conference accolades, announced by the Big West on Thursday, equal the program’s highest mark previously set in 2022 and 2004.

This recognition comes after Cal Poly posted a 19-5 overall record, their highest win total since 2003, and secured a fifth consecutive appearance in the Big West Championships final.

Senior Peyton Dunkle headlined the honors. She secured First-Team All-Big West in singles while paring with redshirt sophomore Amy Leather for Second-Team doubles distinction.

Dunkle’s 15-3 singles mark, including 14-3 at the No. 2 line, broke the Mustangs’ Division I record for career dual singles victories with 52.

Her decorated career concludes with rare distinction as she joins Samantha Waller (2003-2006) as the only Mustangs to ever be named to four All-Big West doubles teams and three singles teams.

The Mustangs’ lineup showcased remarkable development throughout the roster, particularly junior Kennedy Buntrock. She transformed from a mid-lineup player last season into Cal Poly’s top singles competitor.

After primarily playing at lines No. 4 and 5 last season, Buntrock earned Second-Team singles honors while battling each opponent’s premier player. She finished 9-11 at the No. 1 singles spot and 4-5 in Big West play.

Buntrock’s emergence extended to double, where she paired with senior Romane Mosse to form Cal Poly’s dominant No. 1 tandem. The duo’s 13-5 record earned First-Team distinction and ranks among the program’s all-time best single-season performances.

Mosse, a standout from Viroflay, France, added Honorable Mention recognition in singles after compiling a 15-8 record and a 7-2 record against Big West opponents. She finishes her two-year Cal Poly career with an impressive 32-13 singles record and 24-13 doubles record.

Emerging talents rounded out Cal Poly’s honorees, with sophomore Natalie Lynch and freshman Jessica MacCallum receiving Honorable Mentions for their 9-2 mark at the No. 3 doubles line.

Lynch, who didn’t compete last season, formed an immediate connection with the first-year MacCallum, going undefeated in Big West Championships play.

MacCallum’s debut campaign proved especially noteworthy as she amassed a 19-3 singles record, tied for the third most single-season victories in the program’s Division I era. She was also in contention for Big West Freshman of the Year.
