The SLO Craft Beer Fest returned to the Madonna Inn Expo Center on Feb. 21, drawing approximately 2,000 attendees for an afternoon of unlimited tastings and live energy.
The festival featured more than 100 beers from over 20 vendors, including local breweries such as Humdinger Brewing. With admission, guests received a tasting glass for unlimited pours throughout the event.
Lines wrapped around the Expo Center parking lot before doors opened at noon, with some attendees arriving more than an hour early to secure a spot near the front. Once inside, festivalgoers sampled beer, visited food vendors and enjoyed entertainment, including interactive attractions that added to the lively atmosphere.
The event has grown significantly since its early days as a small gathering at the Veterans Hall. Over the years, it has evolved into one of San Luis Obispo’s most anticipated annual festivals, particularly among the Cal Poly community. Students, alumni and local residents return each February, with some friend groups traveling from across the country to reunite at the event.
Organizers say the festival is rooted in community, bringing people together to share drinks and conversation in a celebratory setting.
