Two Cal Poly students, Diego Ortega and Luis Cruzgarcia, created three videos showcasing the school’s Natural Resources Management and Environmental Sciences (NRES) department, funded by an HSI Mini-Grant, to attract more Hispanic students to the department and bridge the gap between the predominantly Hispanic community colleges in the Central Valley and Cal Poly’s programs.

Admissions recruits local Santa Maria high schoolers to boost Hispanic enrollment
Cal Poly hosted a welcome event in Santa Maria to promote the university and encourage enrollment of local Hispanic students, supported by an Admissions and Recruitment project from HSI Mini-Grants.
