Aaron Price Jr., an electrical engineering senior and basketball player, won the Phi Beta Sigma Western Leadership Conference’s Emmitt Smith Athletic Achievement Award and is motivated to recharter his chapter at Cal Poly to provide a safe space for Black students and Black men.

Black Greek organizations return to Cal Poly after 25-Year absence
Maya Glover, the daughter of NASA astronaut Victor Glover, has helped bring back the Zeta Phi Beta sorority and Phi Beta Sigma fraternity to Cal Poly, providing a community for Black students and restoring the historic “Divine Nine” coalition of Black Greek-letter organizations.
