The life of an artist doesn’t often become dangerous but for Robert Frear his work lead to threats. Frear’s work was part of the “We Belong to the Earth” exhibit hosted at the Art Center in San Luis Obispo.
The tradition of painting “en plein air” goes back to the days of Renoir and Monet, who both advocated the style of working outside and using the natural landscape as a color palette.
Surface and Form: Explorations in Fiber and Clay, an exhibit presented by the Central Coast Craftmakers, is being showcased in the McMeen Gallery in the San Luis Obispo Art Center for the month of May. The exhibit showcases the work of four artists.
