ASI’s Rocking the Vote
What: ASI is hosting this event to help inform students about political issues to prepare for the presidential election. There will be a Barack Obama representative present, as well as campus leaders and representatives who will answer questions. There will also be opportunities to register to vote.

Tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr.
What: Award-winning author, poet and filmmaker M.K. Asante, Jr. will speak as part of the Multicultural Center’s Black History Month calendar of events. His lecture, “I Am Because We Are: Dr. King, Our Generation and the Next Movement,” is a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday.
