For many Cal Poly students, the 2020 election was the first time they got to vote for a presidential candidate.

The presidential election was dependent on swing states, and had one of the highest voter populations ever recorded, according to The Washington Post.

Mustang News found that students not only voted locally, but some voted in their home counties instead.
