After a less than stellar season, the Cal Poly wrestling team headed to Oregon State for the Pac-12 Championships this past Sunday.

Of the 10 Cal Poly wrestlers to compete, only senior Dominic Kastl qualified for the NCAA Division I National Championship after placing second in the 174-pound weight class. Kastl is no stranger to success in the Pac-12, as he was the 165-pound champion in 2012 — his freshman year — and boasted a 16-6 record in his 2015 campaign.

The NCAA Championships will be held March 19-21 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

The host Oregon State won the overall team score, notching 139.5 points. Cal Poly finished sixth out of six teams with 77 points.
