WWJD? Spin the dreidel and schmooze

‘Tis the season to be jolly, unless, well, you’re not into all the media-hyped holiday festivities that go on. ‘Tis also the article where I promise that for the rest of the “Guides to Life” I ever write, I will never use the word “’tis” again. So, I might as well live it up, because ’tis article will only happen once, and I would like to continue to use the word as incorrectly as possible.

How to Survive: Home for the holidays

By next week, you’ll be done with those awful finals, your books will be sold back and you’ll be making your way home for the holidays. You haven’t been back since Thanksgiving, which actually wasn’t that long ago when you think about it.

Train accident exploited

It’s appalling that Michael Macedo would write an entire letter, based entirely on his own conclusions, completely void of facts and intellectual thought.

As a personal friend of Ryan West I can tell you that there was at least one witness, who stated that Ryan was in fact, not lying on the train tracks passed out, rather he was walking.

Nothing newsworthy about Christians on campus

Mustang Daily, thank you so much for your piece on Campus Crusade for Christ. I am grateful, because it hadn’t actually sunk in that there was any sort of Christian group on campus until you had mentioned it 30 or 40 times.

I know there is no diversity on campus, but please, just once, couldn’t you challenge your writers to find something original in our little eggshell sea? From my understanding, nothing that newsworthy has happened with Christians since the death of the last pope.

Christmas just as merry in Spain

Over 3,000 miles away from the United States and across the Atlantic Ocean, I find myself far from home this Christmas. However, it’s comforting to know that even in Spain there are some things that different cultures can share. After living in this country for the past three months, I’ve come to love the people here, regardless of their stone-cold faces and their pushy nature.

Don't blame others for your recklessness

I am writing in response to the Nov. 30 article “How safe are the tracks you walk on?” After I had finished reading this article, I was dumbfounded at all the propositions being made in wake of the recent accident involving Ryan West.

The article starts out with a recap of the very vague circumstances of the accident and then moves on to why we need to have new safety installments around the tracks and why the cost should be pinned on Union Pacific Railroad Co.
