Marlena Jackson-Retondo is an English senior writing a play for her senior project. Since Black experiences are rarely highlighted in the theatre, Jackson-Retondo wrote about the lives of a Black couple at home away from the white gaze. She said she is passionate about her vignette styled play that will be grounded in music and plans for it to be finished at the end of the academic year.
