The San Luis Obispo Police Department (SLOPD) received a report of a sexual assault that occurred this past weekend. The alleged crime took place behind the Recreation Center and the survivor was reported to be female.

Though details on the incident have not been confirmed or released, SLOPD Sgt. Chad Pfarr confirmed that “her friends found her” after the alleged assault.

“Though we can’t confirm many details yet, the report seems to include evidence of a ‘typical’ sexual assault case on a college campus,” Pfarr said.

According to Pfarr, these details often include “the victim found passed out somewhere, clothing disheveled and the consumption of various types of alcohol, some stronger than others.”

Further details regarding the report will be released as the investigation is ongoing.
