Cal Poly sweeps UC Davis to earn sole rights to second place in Big West Conference as Ryan Lee hits for the 26th consecutive game, breaking record previously held by Brandon Roberts. The game’s first pitch was thrown in front of fans holding umbrellas high, trying to protect themselves from the 93 degree heat.
Mustangs baseball ready to host St. Mary’s
The Cal Poly baseball team is in the midst of possibly its greatest season at the Division I level. The Mustangs’ next opponent, Saint Mary’s (19-13), is in arguably the same position. The teams will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Baggett Stadium.
