St. Fratty’s Day in San Luis Obispo has evolved from informal house parties into a coordinated public safety effort involving campus festivals, Safety Enhancement Zones, multi-agency policing and significant spending, following the examples of Poly Royal and Mardi Gras which were cancelled due to unrest.
