Cal Poly’s a cappella group, Take It SLO, is hosting a special collaborative event titled “Improvapella,” with Smile and Nod improv-comedy and special guest a cappella group, Fermata Nowhere.
Dr. Walter Moos, a biotech executive, presented “The Dollars and Sense of Pharmaceutical Innovation: Saving Lives Through Drug Discovery” Sunday in Alex and Faye Spanos Theatre as part of the biennial Baker Forum.
A dynamic line-up of seven local bands will perform and compete in ASI’s Local Band Night. The event will be held in the newly renovated UU, and will not only feature great music, but free pizza and drinks as well.
Killa Gorilla will play the first show in the Concert’s in the Plaza series for the new UU. The four-piece band, consisting of third year Cal Poly students, are known for their original rock sound and lively performances.
