Freshmen who launched into college on a quiet campus

Like many incoming freshmen, business administration freshman Erin Powers said that she came to campus because she wanted to “close the door” on her childhood and high school. 

“I felt like I could not do that at home because I was in the same environment I was in when I was growing up,” Powers said. “I was lucky enough that Cal Poly was letting us on campus and I saw that opportunity and decided to take it.”

Spring COVID-19 testing protocols will remain the same as previous quarters

In a campus-wide email, the Executive Vice President and Vice President of Student Affairs announced that the presidential order will remain in effect throughout the end of the academic school year. The presidential order has been enacted to slow the spread of COVID-19 throughout the campus community through a mandatory testing requirement.
