1. One of two suspects identified in shooting of Cal Poly student
Castro Valley resident Brian Thomas Gonzales faces four felony charges in connection with the November shooting of former Cal Poly football player and current student Geoffrey Hyde. Gonzales was an accomplice to the crime and the alleged shooter has not been identified.
2. Softball team suspends 6 for ‘breaking team rules’
Six players on the Cal Poly softball team have been suspended for violating team rules. “It’s a team issue. And we’re going to handle it in-house,” said softball head coach Jenny Condon.
