In arguably the biggest series of the year, the Cal Poly baseball team  (24-4, 3-0 Big West) will host No. 13 UC Santa Barbara  (19-5, 1-2) for a three-game set starting today.

You may recognize economics senior Kolby Hatch and theater senior Ben Pawlik from comedy group Smile and Nod — and now you can tune in for their entertainment talk show “6 Beers Deep” on KCPR, Sundays at 11 p.m.

Cal Poly President Jeffery Armstrong’s plan to build a “green buffer” of plants and landscaping between the proposed residence halls and the neighborhood, as well as his plan to hire two additional police officers to patrol the area, was not enough to appease San Luis Obispo residents opposing the housing project at a city forum last month. However, the city ultimately has no formal jurisdiction over the location.
