What: Cal Poly men’s tennis (8-12, 3-1 Big West) takes on rival UC Santa Barbara (8-12, 3-0) on Senior Day

When: 1 p.m. Saturday at Mustang Courts


  • The winner of the rivalry matchup will automatically earn one of the two byes headed into the Big West Conference Championships next weekend at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
  • A Mustangs’ win coupled with a Hawaii loss at UC Irvine on Friday would clinch the No. 1 seed for Cal Poly in the tournament.
  • Of the four most recent meetings between the Mustangs and Gauchos, all but one has come down to 4-3 margins.
  • Freshman Ben Donovan (15-9) was named Big West Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.
