In case you don’t remember, Tuesday Tunes is a weekly piece in which Mustang News bugs students wearing headphones to find out what they’re listening to and why. Here’s what we found today:
Stacy Okoro, political science sophomore

“Bird Song” by Florence + the Machine
“It’s a very flowy song,” Okoro said. “I love Florence + the Machine so it’s a really good song to listen to on a cloudy day like this.”
David Ellison, computer science junior

“Endless Fantasy” by Anamanaguchi
“It’s good working music,” he said. “It’s pretty high-energy, electronic stuff and it doesn’t take my focus off work.”
Nora Healy, journalism junior

“I Love You, Honeybear” by Father John Misty
“My friend told me to listen to the new album because I would like it,” Healy said. “It’s okay. I don’t like it as much as the old one, but I didn’t really listen to it all the way through yet.”
Kyle Kintner, business junior

“Simple Song” by The Shins
“Why do I like that song?” Kintner said. “I don’t know, it’s upbeat, carry on. I don’t know. I like it. It’s cool.”
Savannah Baffert, business junior

“Harness Your Hopes” by Pavement
“Pavement is a really nice slacker-rock ’90s-ish band,” she said. “It’s kind of funny. He has a lot of funny lyrics and I like it a lot. It talks about roasting someone’s parents on a spit and things like that. It’s nice, but in like a happy sounding way.”

Is Nora Healy any relation to John Healy, the head of the Journalism Department back in the early 1970s?
