“In general, I’m a fan of slowed down acoustic songs rather than whatever peppy radio version is out there,” she said. “They feel more genuine.”

“It’s a mixture of an EDM song but it’s not just all electronic,” he said. “He’s doing a lot of experimental stuff — that one’s really good.”

“Finals week is rolling up and in the song it says, ‘Got three funnels to sweep but she don’t care, she get some money first,” which sounds like finals,” she said. “And here I am, at work and getting money.”

Current tune: “Flawless (remix) ft. Nicki Minaj” by Beyonce

“I like the song because at the time it was very culturally relevant. It was a few months after the 2014 Met Gala when Solange (Beyonce’s sister) attacked Jay-Z in the elevator,” he said. “I find that very fascinating.”
