Cal Poly’s Craft Center is a place where students and community members can create art at seven different studios. Surfboards, skateboards, jewelry, glass pendants, and pottery are just a few of the many things that artists make at the Craft Center.

Students come to socialize and get away from the stress of school while creating unique artwork in the process.

The Craft Center provides classes, instruction, materials, and tools for whatever you would like to create. Day passes to use the Craft Center are $2 while a quarter pass is $20. Students and community members can also pay for classes in surfboard shaping, flame working, ceramics, jewelry making, and more.

Laura Hoover visited the Craft Center in the University Union to see what impact this place is having on students.
