Cal Poly’s Vice President of Student Affairs Keith Humphrey’s hearing on a civil harassment case set for was dismissed, based on court proceedings from Thursday.

The hearing involved both Humphrey and Desiree Dellinger, an assistant principal for San Luis Obispo High School. Dellinger obtained a temporary restraining order over alleged verbal harassment against Humphrey on Nov. 16, after Humphrey claimed Dellinger was discriminating against his son on a club soccer team. Humphrey claimed this discrimination due to his son’s parents being a same-sex couple, according to court documents.

The initial hearing to show cause for the temporary restraining order was set for Feb. 8, but was postponed to Feb. 22.

The Thursday hearing did not take place either, as the dispute was dismissed without prejudice.

“The matter has been resolved, the terms of the settlement are confidential,” Dellinger’s attorney, Gregory F. Gillett said. “I’m pleased with the outcome.”
