Today’s question: If you could create any minor, what would it be and what would it entail?

  1. Here are a few responses from our Facebook page:

Jesse Chavarria: I would create a more modern media major – starting with html coding, lots of video making/editing, entrepreneurship would be laced throughout, and students would get going on reporting right away as freshman. I’d merge a lot of the current writing/editing courses and create a simplified writing course for non-J majors.

Andrew Musselman: I wish we had more engineering minors. I’d totally go for a ME or CE minor. In the College of Engineering there is really only one minor: Computer Science. Technically Aerospace Engineering has it’s Interdisciplinary Studies, but it’s effectively deprecated, since some of the classes you need for it.
