Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary opened its gates to the public for its first-ever World Donkey Day celebration.
Located on 45 acres, the sanctuary cares for rescued donkeys and mules from neglect, abuse and kill pens. Visitors toured the property, met the animals and learned how volunteers rehabilitate and care for them.
Reporter Chloë Schauermann takes us inside the event and explores the sanctuary’s mission to provide rescued donkeys with a better life.
