The Shack announced via Facebook on Saturday that it was closing after 16 years.

The restaurant, which is located on Foothill Boulevard and known for its burgers and beer, posted a “last supper” menu and advertised discounts on domestic and premium beers.

In the Facebook post, they thanked patrons for their support throughout the years and said they would miss the Shackaholic family.

Laci and Scott Peterson, two former Cal Poly students who gained national attention when Scott was convicted of killing Laci in 2002, founded The Shack. The restaurant changed hands when the couple moved from San Luis Obispo, according to an Associated Press report.

The caption on this story originally said The Shack closed Friday night. It has since been corrected to Saturday.
