Four Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) presidential candidates and 71 Board of Directors hopefuls filed paperwork to run for office in the 2014 election, according to a Facebook post by ASI on Saturday.

Mustang News previously reported at least three students would run for president. ASI Recruitment and Development Committee Chair Cale Reid did not immediately return a request for the name of the fourth student who filed to run.

The 71 students who filed to run for Board of Directors represent all six colleges:

  • 17 candidates, College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences
  • 5, College of Architecture and Environmental Design
  • 14, Orfalea College of Business
  • 21, College of Engineering
  • 10, College of Liberal Arts
  • 4, College of Science and Mathematics

The filing deadline for candidates was Friday at 5 p.m.

The election will take place April 23.
