Quit the toxic relationship with your body
Cal Poly being an active campus is not new. The multi-level gym is often crowded, and a plethora of natural landscapes provide plenty of outdoor activities for students. The positive promotion of exercise and fitness is great, but at what point does our school’s fitness obsession pose a threat to student’s relationships with their bodies?
Keeping nightlife alive is vital to downtown SLO
Live music is losing its sense of belonging in San Luis Obispo, and putting a noise ordinance on bars like Libertine only pushes it further out of the community. What other spaces are available for the arts and emerging house bands to debut?

Review: Morning on the Green was a clever and exciting replacement to mayhem on the streets
My 3 a.m. alarm buzzed on my phone, and I jolted awake to the sound of an Irish jig and my roommates preparing drinks in the kitchen. Though I despise being woken up early, I had to persevere for my final St. Fratty’s day at Cal Poly.

Sex karezza: a meaningful alternative to no-strings-attached hook-ups
How would the intimacy of sex be different when climax is not the main goal? Regardless of relationship status, intimacy and closeness during sex is still important to some college-aged students, but is losing its way in many people’s experiences. In the age of modern dating, moving along the bases often happens in hyperspeed, creating […]
Exploring sexuality could be the most important learn by doing opportunity
The concept I didn’t understand at the time was that there is no “right” way to figure out that you may be into the same sex. Moreover, exploring your sexuality doesn’t require instant labeling.
Changing drinking habits of Gen Z challenge wine industry
The wine industry on the Central Coast is experiencing a steep decline due to changing consumer habits, with an estimated 38,000 acres of vineyards being destroyed or abandoned, and many wineries shutting down, while younger generations are more interested in craft beer and non-alcoholic drinks.
