The Black Student Union at Cal Poly has been working to preserve Black history on campus through the documentation of the organization’s history and the hosting of events such as the African Black Coalition Conference, while also providing resources and support for Black students.

Riley Sullivan is a journalism major and a news reporter for KCPR. She is a Bay Area native and honed through nearly a decade of competitive synchronized swimming. Journalism has been something she has been passionate about since her sophomore year of highschool where she got her start in yearbook. She has gotten experience in the print side of journalism, so after seeing how hands on Cal Poly is, she decided to branch out and explore the broadcasting side of things, which is when she joined KCPR News. In her free time, she loves to travel, surf, go to the beach, take photos and hang out with her friends, family and dogs.
