As many San Luis Obispo residents choose to mail in ballots for this election, many have also voiced concerns over the steps they need to take to ensure their ballots are counted — and what to do if they make a mistake. County Clerk-Recorder Tommy Gong discussed common mistakes to avoid that can disqualify ballots as well as what to do if a voter makes a mistake. If a voter accidentally makes the wrong selection, they may be able to fix this error themselves, Gong said.
