6:07 p.m. Cal Poly is kept scoreless at the conclusion of 90 minutes of playing time. The goal by Santa Barbara defender Haruki Utsumi proved to be the difference-maker of the matchup. The Mustangs are kept scoreless in the season series against the Gauchos this season.

Cal Poly’s three-game unbeaten streak against UCSB comes to an end.

Cal Poly sequence nearly results in game-tying goal.

6:03 p.m. The Mustangs kept intense pressure on Gauchos goalie Luke Skinner, with shots from Nico Baltazar and Joaquin Torres forcing a team and goalie save from Santa Barbara. But Cal Poly remains scoreless.

Another Cal Poly player is injured.

5:55 p.m. Junior defender Parker Owens was down at the 20-yard line following a hard collision with a Santa Barbara player. Staff is checking Owens out and he is currently being helped off the field. Senior defender Jake Oetinger replaces Owens.

More tortillas are fired from the student section.

5:44 p.m. Tortillas are thrown from both sections of spectators. Police are currently patrolling the stands.

Blue-Green rivalry draws up second-biggest crowd in the nation this season.

5:42 p.m. The match between Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara draws a crowd of 9,543 spectators, the second-largest by a collegiate soccer match this season.

First yellow card of the match is given out.

5:36 p.m. UC Santa Barbara midfielder Kaiden Standish is the recipient of the first yellow card of the match following a hard foul.

Sean McTague finds himself in the center of the offense.

5:32 p.m. Sean McTague is in the center of Cal Poly’s fast-paced offense. McTague fired a shot and subsequently delivered a cross but was unable to tie provide the game-tying goal.

Cal Poly narrowly misses offensive opportunity.

5:24 p.m. Jackson Miller fires a shot that just clips the crossbar to miss the game-tying goal.

Cal Poly player sidelined due to injury to start off half.

5:22 p.m. Rylan Firouznam, a typical starter who started the match in the first half, has been sidelined to start off the second half due to injury. He is currently on crutches on the sidelines.

Cal Poly attacks early!

5:18 p.m. Cal Poly starts things off on the offensive side of the ball early. Cole Aman takes an advantage of an open look just four minutes into the second half but misses wide right and is unable to convert.

The second half commences!

5:15 p.m. The second half of the Blue-Green rivalry game officially kicks off at 5:15.

The first half of the Blue-Green game comes to a close.

4:58 p.m. UC Santa Barbara leads Cal Poly 1-0 after the first, very physical, 45 minutes of the match. Both teams have combined for 14 fouls in the first half. UCSB leads Cal Poly in both shots and shots on goal. Colin Pearce, Oren Stuppel and Quinn Mahoney are the only shot-takers of the match so far.

There has also been a noticeable lack of tortillas thrown onto the field, with a tortilla thrown onto the pitch every once in a while.

4:54 p.m. Senior forward Oren Stuppel makes an effort at the net, giving Cal Poly their first shot on goal. Santa Barbara goalkeeper Luke Skinner saves it.

UC Santa Barbara gives Cal Poly a scare.

4:52 p.m. The Gauchos nearly double their lead with a shot at the net in the 40th minute but the ball is hit off the crossbar and out of bounds.

Cal Poly turns on the heat!

4:44 p.m. The Mustangs fire three consecutive shots in a sequence, two of which were fired by Quinn Mahoney but Cal Poly was unable to convert the attempts into goals.
