Mustang Village was evacuated earlier today after the San Luis Obispo Police Department (SLOPD) received a call about a bomb threat at the apartment complex, according to a SLOPD press release. They received the call at approximately 11 a.m. and determined that the threat was not credible.

Mustang Village management sent a wide evacuation notice to its residents. The complex, which houses many Cal Poly students, was blocked off at the entrances to the front office and parking lots.

SLOPD searched the premises and cleared the area within two hours. No one was hurt and no property was damaged.

According to the release, SLOPD did not order the evacuation and is not preventing residents from returning to their apartments. The police department is investigating the source of the threat.
