California minimum wage to increase
California’s minimum wage will increase to $10 an hour by 2016. Earlier this month, Gov. Jerry Brown signed legislation to raise it to $9 an hour by July 2014 and complete the increase by January 2016.
Orchesis gains new members
Cal Poly’s Orchesis dance company has 10 new members. More than 60 people auditioned to be part of the group. Several of the students who made the cut are freshman.
