OMG, out of 19,000 students only like 5 showed up. WOW.
Why wasn’t this promoted better. Also, why wasn’t the Prez there. Wasn’t he advocating for it.
And lastly, what do you mean the money will go toward building diversity? I thought it was going toward more classes. What the hell?
The students vote is only advisory? That’s bull.
They list 5 or so potential uses of the fee, but there is no guarantee the fee will go to the use you want. You might want more class sections, but all the money could be spent on $18,000 athletic scholarships so that we can remain “competitive as a Division I school.”
An unbiased information session? What a joke –
“The Student Success Fee vote is Feb. 29, and IKEDA HOPED IT WILL PASS.”
