Cal Poly’s admition rate for Fall 2014 applicants is the lowest in university history — 28 percent.
While many are concerned about over-enrollment at Cal Poly, some believe that should be the least of worries.
“This increase in applications in no way has a negative impact,” Maraviglia said. “It just makes the admission process more selective.”
Cuesta College might soon lose its accreditation and, with it, students’ ability to transfer units to four-year universities.
The 2015 incoming Cal Poly class has been chosen, and the class breakdown is showing new trends in admissions.
