Zombies and “survivors” came together for a good cause. The third annual Zombie Run for Autism took place Saturday, Oct. 28 at Camp San Luis Obispo. All the proceeds went directly to the Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center. The event kicked off with a Family Fun Run followed by an untimed 5K run. Participants had the option of being a zombie, “survivor” (runner) or both. Runners wore either red, yellow or green flags to signal how much the zombies could contact them. In order to “stay alive,” participants had to protect their flags from zombies. Members of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity helped fundraise for the event and dressed in zombie costumes.
