Architecture freshman Keigen Langholff died Friday driving home, Cal Poly spokesperson Matt Lazier confirmed.
He had been traveling home for the graduation of his brother, Konner, from North Mason High School in Belfair, Washington, according to Konner’s Twitter post.
The freshman lived in Yosemite Hall and “had an amazing year,” his mother said in a Facebook post on the Cal Poly Parent Community Group page, where group members left hundreds of comments offering their condolences to the family.
Correction: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated Konner’s high school. It has been updated with the correct school.
